The Phone Call...
I received a phone call yesterday from my agency letting me know that the group of boys in foster care that attended my school a year ago have to be moved from their current foster home by next month. They were asking if I wanted to take their placement. This would be the time if I wanted to do it. Did I mention that there are 4 of them ranging from 2 1/2 to 11 years old? Four is a lot to take on by myself. I have until next week to decide.

At the Starting Gate
It has been about a year in coming, but I have finally finished the home study and the paperwork! I am putting the finishing touches on the children's room and am set to accept children from infants to age 8.
It has been an expensive couple of months buying the new bunk beds, crib and crib bedding. I have basic sheets for the bunk beds and thought that I would let the children select the type of comforter set they like.
I am posting photos of the room so far. I am using Carter's Tree Top crib bedding with it's adorable little woodland creatures. I also bought materials today to make the rain gutter bookshelves to put on the short wall behind the door. Hopefully, my dad and I can get those made in the next few days.
A friend has agreed to help me paint a canvas to match the crib bedding to hang above the crib. I would also like to put the following quote on the main wall: "You are stronger than you seem, braver than you believe and smarter than you think you are".
I am leaving for a short vacation to Colorado and should be licensed when I return and can put my name on the list to start receiving kids!
